The Ministry has the overall responsibility to oversee and coordinate the development and implementation of policies and programs relevant to the environment, climate change, and natural resources. The primary role of the Ministry is to facilitate governance in the protection, management, conservation and the development of the environment and natural resources, including its biodiversity, for sustainable development. In discharging its mandate, MECCNAR support and facilitate the work of the National Environment Agency (NEA), the Department of Forestry (DOF), and the Department of Parks and Wildlife Management (DPWM).

GCF is a unique global platform to respond to climate change by investing in low-emission and climate-resilient development. It was established by 194 governments to limit or reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in developing countries, and to help vulnerable societies adapt to the unavoidable impacts of climate change. It invests in adaptation and mitigation activities in developing countries, managing a project portfolio that is implemented by Accredited Entities. All GCF activities aims to support developing countries limit or reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to climate change impacts.

World Agroforestry (ICRAF) is a centre of science and development excellence that harnesses the benefits of tree for people and environment. Established in 1978, ICRAF leverages the world’s largest repository of agroforestry science and information, we develop knowledge practices, from farmers’ fields to the global sphere, to ensure food security and environmental sustainability.

Prime Africa® (est. 2004) is a consulting firm based in Africa and specializing in a wide range of economic and natural resource management fields, and focusing on sustainable development in Africa. Prime Africa is a partner to the EbA Project with the responsibility to support the development of natural resource-based enterprises. These enterprises need to be sustainable both from a business and environmental perspective and must provide forest communities with sustainable income streams. Prime Africa's team of specialists provides EbA with a range of highly specialist skills needed. This includes resource economic analyses, business and financial modeling for natural resource enterprises, certification design, innovative financing mechanisms, and a range of similar supporting services. Prime Africa also provides domain-specific expertise such as bioprospecting, agricultural practices, eco-tourism, food processing, and others. These services are packaged in the form of strategic actions plans, business cases, market intelligence reports, capacity building, management consulting, and practical implementation advisory. Prime Africa specialists work as team members within the EbA project and report to the EbA Business Development & Private Sector Specialist Business Development & Private Sector Specialist.
