Day two of the workshop was grace by the Hon. Minister – Rohey John Manjang, Minister of Agriculture, FAO Country Representative, Dr. Peter Minang, CIFOR – ICRAF Africa Director and EbA Project implementing partners.
The Agroforestry Strategy for The Gambia (2022 -2032) aims to create an enabling environment for agroforestry adoption through policy mainstreaming and coordination, knowledge creation and management, strengthening of markets and incentive systems, and embedding inclusive governance that is representative of the voices and interests of all.
During the launch speakers took turns in emphasising the role of Agroforestry as a key solution for building climate resilience and enhancing livelihoods of communities.
