The EbA project in collaboration with the Great Institute and the University of The Gambia is undertaking a five (5) day student study tour to the project intervention regions. The main objective is to expose the students to some of the climate change challenges facing the Gambia and how the EbA Project is employing ecosystem-based adaptation approaches and strategies to build the resilience of rural communities.
The tour will give the students the opportunity to conduct field practical work on taking measurements and calculating the amount of carbon sequester in certain species and basic knowledge of our ecosystem. The student will also learn about water quality analysis, carbon quantification in mangroves, weather monitoring, air quality analysis, and biodiversity assessments.
The tour started on the 15th of March 2022 in the Lowe River to CRR-SOUTH, CRR-NORTH, and URR, respectively.
